This wonderful three day, two night tour of Cape Country takes you all the way along the Southern Cape Coast through Hermanus, Cape Agulhas, then inland to Swellendam, Montague, Robertson, Worcester, Paarl and back to Cape Town..

Itinerary :
Day 1.
- This tour commences at 08h00 and travels out along the N2 highway towards the majestic Hottentot Holland Mountains
- We travel through the seaside town of Strand and enjoy its kilometers of white sandy beaches.
- The pretty setting of Gordons Bay with it’s Naval College and small harbour is our next village we pass through.
- We engage the steep climb ( by vehicle ) to the Filtration Plant of Steenbras Dam high up on the mountain side, to soak in the magnificent panoramic view of False Bay, the mountains and coastal surrounds -- a photo opportunity
- We travel along spectacular Clarence Drive enjoying every moment of the magnificent sea views.
- On through the coastal village Kleinmond on our way to Hermanus.
- Hermanus is the whale capital of South Africa and a very popular holiday destination.
( Whale season is from May to October )
- Stanford village is our next port of call where we enjoy a Pub Lunch.
- Then on to the nearby fishing village of Gansbaai ( Goose bay )
( Gansbaai is also renowned for its adventure tourism -- shark cage diving )
- Shortly after leaving Gansbaai we turn inland and travel to the quaint village with thatched white washed cottages of Elim, ( Elim means place of God ) a Moravian Mission station.
- Cape Agulhas the most Southerly tip of the African Continent is our next stop -- this is where the two great oceans -- the Indian and Atlantic --- meet
- A walk along the rocks sees you standing at the tip of the African continent. -- a great photo opportunity
- We visit the most southerly lighthouse on the continent of Africa – another great photo opportunity.
- From Agulhas we travel to the quaint fishing village of Arniston
- Then north to Bredasdorp the principal small town in the region.
- Finally we travel to Swellendam where we overnight at a little gem of a B & B
- Dinner will be at one of the many cozy restaurants in the town.
Day 2.
- After a hearty breakfast we tour the town of Swellendam, taking in some of the many historical sites.
- The Fairy Sanctury is a must visit.
- We visit the Berry Orchard and learn how to make chutney.
- We head out for the Tradouw Pass that takes us through the mountains to Barrydale -- where we enjoy lunch at the “ Country Pumpkin” restaurant
- A visit to Barrydale Winery is always an enjoyable experience.
- We travel the scenic R62 to Montague where we visit some interesting sites.
- Montague is our overnight stop at a Chalet at the renowned Hot Spring Resort.
- Dinner is your choice -- at the local Hot Spring Resort Hotel or at a cozy restaurant in Town.
Day 3.
- After a relaxing breakfast we travel through the scenically impressive Cogmans Kloof, and on through Ashton to Robertson.
- En route we visit a couple of leading Wine Estates, where you will have the opportunity to taste their award winning wines.
- A visit to Robersons bird sanctuary is always well worthwhile.
- We travel on to Worcester and visit Kleinplasie – a living Museum that portrays the authentic lifestyle of the early settlers during the period of 1690 -- including Blacksmithing, coffee roasting, tobacco rolling, break baking etc.
- We enjoy a traditional South African lunch at Kleinplasie.
- After lunch we travel through the Town of Worcester and link up with the N1 highway.
- We travel beneath the mighty Du Toits Kloof Mountains and through the four kilmetre road tunnel.
- On the far side of the tunnel we have our first view of Table Mountain in the distance with the beautiful setting of Paarl in the foreground.
- We slowly make our way back to base along the N1 highway.
